The best method to navigate this neighbourhood is often a car. It is very easy to park. In contrast, public transit users may have limited options in Southview due to the infrequent service. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. The bike is a fairly poor means of transportation in Southview since cyclists are faced with quite a few slopes, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive. Most homes for sale in this area are located in areas that are also not very convenient for walking because most daily needs are sometimes challenging to meet without having to use a car.

Schools and daycares are easy to walk to from anywhere in Southview. When it comes to food, in vast majority cases, a vehicle is required to shop for groceries. Nevertheless, pharmacies are generally convenient to access on foot and sell some staple foods. There are also a few choices for those who care about restaurants and cafes in close proximity.
Character
The character of Southview is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. Public green spaces, including Churchill Park, are very well-spread out and there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore, which results in them being easy to get to from many locations within this part of Cambridge.
